In this 3-hour workshop, participants will use a supplied kit to build their own "solarsonic," or solar-powered instrument. The workshop will include a basic introduction to photovoltaic technologies and theory, electronics prototyping and simple logic-chip synthesis, and examples of various ways this technology has been used by myself and others. Students will construct a simple instrument and the workshop will conclude with an outdoor group improvisation with the resulting instruments. No previous experience will be required.
Costs: To participate in this workshop a kit is need, which will cost 40euro. The kit will be available at the workshop.
