I'm a composer, programmer and live-coding artist born in Mexico City in 1982 and now living in Amsterdam. I collaborate in various settings where a common subject is the incorporation of coding as a performative and aesthetic principle. My work explores music, installations, opera, theater and new methodologies of interdisciplinary collaboration and inter-communication. I am an active member of the currently growing live-coding community which embraces code as an art form.

I just launched a new project called the CodeKlavier which enables a pianist to code through playing the piano. I am interested in what fellow NIMErs think of the idea. Discussion on ways to get the piano communicating with the computer ( we are currently using a disklavier but more portable alternatives would be better) or ideas on language design for the pianist to code are very welcome.
